Better Late than never

This video is ridiculously late but enjoy the birth of Olivia Lily. Don't worry, I spared everyone the gruesome details of the actual birth *which Liv loves to watch and say she looked gwross in Mommy's tummy* but this is a great depiction of the 24 hours before she was born.

The song is Sawdust & Diamonds by the lovely harpist, Joanna Newsom. Have a great Monday!

My Instagram Peeps

I just realized that I take 99% of my photos on Instagram now. It's hard not too, the filters are rad and it's much easier to share my photos on my facebook and twitter. My favorite thing to do is see the photos from my fave Instagram folks I'm following *54 and growing*

Here are a few of my favorite Instagrammers in no particular order.

AnnDanger

I briefly met her at the Renegade Craft Fair at her booth. She is an insanely awesome illustrator. You can read more about her awesomeness here.

Bonnie is the blog Goddess of photography. She works with all the top folks but following her on Instagram is a must if you love food. She makes every meal look like something found on Pinterest. Plus her daughter, Miss V, is adorable and has more followers than I do. *psst, follow me on Instagram!*

This lady is EPIC!! I love everything about her! I have been coveting one of her ginormous, beautiful scarves for years now. Her photos are always a treat.

HeirloomLA

This is pretty much food porn. Everyday they introduce something fresh, savory and mouthwatering which makes me want to check out their Food Truck and their new tasting room, The Salon. I had the pleasure of tasting the Heirloom LA goodness myself at Oh Joy's book signing event at West Elm. Had I known more about them at the time, I would have consumed more but I was too busy geeking out with all the blog stars.

Shoes, bags, jewels, celebrity closets that you would murder to have. It's a girlie girls fantasy. My jaw drops at every photo! Fashion fetish.

mishalulu

Karen of Misha Lulu is one of my favorite kids clothes designers. Her dresses are rad. I wish I could buy every single item for Liv. I really love seeing her choices of fabric and her adorable daughter Bela is the perfect mascot for Misha Lulu. *does her dress look familiar?*

Holly is the epitome of all things pretty. She really inspires me to take better photos and make my house nicer. She's currently living in Germany so I get to see shops and products from Europe. I adore Holly's design aesthetic.

So who are your favorite Instagrammers? Here's a few Instagram photos I took on our date night last Friday. Bon Vivant is starting to be one of my favorite restaurants.

We stopped by the KCRW Pop Up Gallery at Atwater Crossing
Mr. Lynch, I love this photo
This tasty drink was a Smashing Berry
Really tasty dinner

Liv goes nuts when she finds street art. PS, I tried my best to get a shot of her new Converse. I love her gold wings.

Enjoy your Sunday lovelies. We've got a major birthday party to attend!!

Birthday Planning Part Two

I have had a busy week. I took Olivia to The Coop. This is the place we were going to have her 3rd birthday but we decided to take her to Disneyland instead. Antz thinks she should be at least 4 or 5 for her first real birthday party so she remembers it. I think we have had such a fun time on her birthday with just the 3 of us, we enjoy our family mini vacations. I'm really excited to finally check out Cars Land. We might stay at the Grand Californian and make a weekend of it, we'll see. So, I really like The Coop but Liv, she LOVED IT! There was many tears shed when it was time to go.

She's making sad face cause she didn't want to take off her shoes
This is where they serve cake during birthday parties, CUTE!

Here's a video on my vine. I love that dancefloor. There's an outdoor patio with benches but I ran out of room on my iphone to take pictures. It's the perfect place for a party. We just think this year isn't best for our plans. I want to take her back to play soon because she was heartbroken when we had to leave. The Coop is only open for play during the week since weekends its closed for private birthday parties.

So really exciting news happened yesterday. My BFF Aimee bought her new car!!!

Look at that enormous smile!

I am so happy happy and proud of her. She literally drove a rickshaw for years and this is her dream car. I love the minty green color, it's really fun to ride in it *even though I'm a giant in her little car* Now I'm off the hook for driving on all our dates. Liv has a movie date with Godmommy next Thursday.

Allergies suck!

They are the worst. I started sneezing like a maniac this past Saturday when we took Antz desk out of Liv's room. Thanks dust bunnies! It turns out he wasn't really using it and we only used it to change Liv's clothes. She's a big girl now so we don't need it taking up space and I wanted to put her kitchen set in her room. Here's the before and after of her room.

After the desk is moved

Here's the rest of her room.

She is spending much more time playing in her room now, and we cleared out space in the living room so yay!

I'm dying from my allergies. I was up all night sneezing nonstop. This sucks. I want to scratch my eyes out and my nose is on fire from kleenex. I'm taking a nasal decongestant but it's not helping. I might get some Allegra or Claritin.

I feel as bad as I look, sneeze, sneeze!

The Dry Bar Blew me away!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentines day. Liv passed out heart lollipops to all her friends at school. She also gave her teachers a big box of chocolates.

I love her friend Marlow's heart cape!
Liv's buddy Layla *she's the cutest!*
Mrs. Ana gets a hug too

It was really funny cause she thought it was Halloween since we were passing out candy.

I decided *totally at the last minute* to make a hair appt. at Drybar. I was considering going there next month on my birthday for a blowout so I figured a trial-run would be splendid. I love the concept. You choose a style from a menu and you get a shampoo *I opted for the extra conditioning shot* and then they blow dry and curl your hair to perfection.

They carry Ban.do hair goodies!
*So of course I couldn't help myself and I went back today to get the yellow heart. I mean, it's yellow and I needed a complete set, right?

Here's my lion's mane before, yikes!

Chelsea was wonderful at managing my frizzy hair

And here's me after! Va-va-voom

The colors in Drybar were so cute. Now I'm thinking I need white cabinets that are painted light blue inside in our kitchen. Then I'll use yellow as an accent color in the curtains and accessories.
Isn't that ornate mirror amazing? I'm going to the Pasadena flea market next month to find some vintage goodies for the kitchen.
I haven't gotten my hair done professionally in years. It was bliss. Since it was Valentines day, they gave me this free dry shampoo too.

I picked up my Valentine's lunch dates and we went to Tenno Sushi.

Aimee took some shots of my pretty balloons.

Ac4SWG on Make A Gif, Animated Gifs

We had so much fun, we went to my house and watched Girls and ate our leftover sushi and love day candy till Antz came home.

Liv got some valentines from school and her Padrinos *Stephen & Leslie* got her a sweet bouquet of balloons, *just like Mommy's* and a cute robot t shirt.

We have three birthdays in the next three weekends! I'm looking forward to Antz having Monday off. I hope we can check out the Los Angeles  Public Library. Happy Weekend!
