Jess & Tom's Wedding 7/20/2013

Our good friends Tom & Jess were married yesterday on *our same* beach in Malibu. It was a small but intimate wedding. Their friend Michael was the officiant and Natalie & Vinny played violin and guitar at the ceremony. The reception was at Topanga Community Center. Olivia had the time of her life just being her three year old self. Lucky for us, everyone found her antics to be adorable and she hammed it up on the dancefloor.

30 Day Photo Challenge

I feel like I've been slacking in taking quality photos lately. I don't know if  it's from my phone being dropped a million times by Liv but my photos don't come out as crisp or bright as I'd like. I am going to start using my Nikon SLR camera more often.

I'm going to challenge myself to take 30 days of photos with a different theme every day of August. I will follow this list.

These are pretty easy, I'll have to make my own bokeh lens and play around with the settings a lot but I'm excited for this project. Feel free to join me, I'd love to have someone else to play along with.

I Know...

I'm still here, eating Popsicles like crazy. I took my braids out so I can deep condition my wig and let it air out for a minute. This weekend I'll be re-braiding *my poor fingers*. Here's what 6 weeks of braids looks like.

I'm still working on my summer bucket list but I haven't been blogging on a regular basis, sorry. Just think of this as my blog hiatus. Like all the good teevee shows, I'll be back this fall. Speaking of shows, didn't this last season of Mad Men seem like the shortest ever? My favorite episode was when everyone got stoned on "vitamins"



I am counting the minutes until Walking Dead returns. Meanwhile, I can't stop watching this rad video...

Oh, and my other obsession is this juicy piece of bearded Man Meat *trademark Lizzie* I'm this close to creating a Pinterest board dedicated all to Pretty Ricki Hall *we share a last name so it's obviously meant to be!*

Fourth of July Weekend Wrap-up

Oh man, so much summer fun crammed into 4 days! Aimee came over to eat and we redneck-ed it in the backyard with booze and watching Liv splash around in her pool. I got a little too much sun but it was a good time.

MEAT!!!

Once again Highland Park did not disappoint as the fireworks capital of Los Angeles. It really sounded like bombs going off every second.

This is as crazy with fireworks as I get!

Mr Mailman brought me two much anticipated *as well as one unexpected* deliveries.

Friday we decided to have an impromptu picnic in the park and then check out the California Science Center.

It was fun but my phone died so I didn't get many photos. It was cool to see the Endeavour space shuttle in person.

Nerd Fact: Endeavour had 25 successful flight during it's 19 years of service.

Friday night we hung out with Story & Chris for pizza and homemade peach cobbler *which was perfection, Story*. They gave Antz the raddest birthday present, these adorable Adventure Time toys.

Saturday we went to our nephew & niece's daughter's *Cayce, Ann-Marissa & Chayanne* 1st birthday party. It was a super fun pool party.

Antz was sweet enough to watch Liv for me so I could go see This is the End with Story and Chris. It was hilarious and I spotted Joe Manganiello *Alcide* at the theater.

This afternoon we stopped by Antz Mom's to visit relatives who are in town.

We feel like we've seen everyone we know this weekend. So happy we have a week with no commitments to relax. How was your weekend?
