We are in love with our kitchen. It went from being our least favorite to our absolute favorite room in our house. I am so happy we did it for us. I wasn't really thinking about resale value or designing it for a future owner. We poured our hearts into this room and I think it shows. I can't help but smile when I walk in the kitchen. You can watch a full slideshow on my flickr.

I love the contrast of the dark floor against the white cabinets, and the pop of color from the appliances and furniture really make things look interesting. I know you said you guys weren't thinking about putting more value into your home with this remodel, but I certainly think that it's a major improvement. Thanks for sharing!
I pretty much observed that most people who renovate their kitchen these days usually want to have a portable drawer. It's actually the best hardware to install, especially when you really don't have a big kitchen. In fact, this is the most common space-saving solution that contractors usually suggest to their clients. It will also allow you to keep your kitchen tools organized.
