Oh Happy Day!!

It's only 3pm and my day has been pretty fetch!! My Mommy came over and I flat ironed her hair. We  had to go to the hardware store to make copies of my keys for her *since she lost all of hers*. We then went to Fresh & Easy and Noahs for lunch. My lovely Liv was so amazing, she slept the whole time while I was doing Momm'y's hair and she was happy and quiet while we were out. Now she's laying on her Boppy on the couch next to me with a bad case of the hiccups *they bother me more than they bother her*. The cherry on top of my awesome day is the mailman throwing over the gate 2 packages for me. The first of course from Border's were the books I ordered for Liv last week.

I love board books, I am reading them both to her tonight.
After a whole month of waiting I finally got my Push Present from Love & Victory!!!

Her name and birthdate are engraved on the ring
Please forgive my wonky manicure, I tried to hide my nails
I am literally jumping up and down squealing! It's so pretty and it fits perfectly. I can't stop smiling when I look at my right hand. *sparkly* What a great day. The only thing I need to happen next is my honey to come home and we go out for a yummy sushi dinner in Little Tokyo *wishful thinking*

No sushi for dinner but California has finally come to it's senses and has ruled Prop 8 as unconstituitional and has overturned the ban on gay marriage!! Not only is this amazing news but duh Cali, the income on gay weddings alone should bring us out of bankruptcy.

25 Before I'm 75 *revision*

Can I just steal hers and start over? I suppose I could have put much more thought and imagination into mine. Ride a camel...hells yeah...in Egypt...even better...watch the sunset at the pyramids...yes please...why didn't I think of these?? I knew these things were inside my brain but seeing Mighty Girl Maggie's list has dug them out of the graveyard my brain filed them under.

He needs me, He needs me

Antz and I are obsessed with this song *and I adore Shelly Duvall*
Today is a ho-hum type of day. Nothing extraordinary planned. I could go to Target but I'm staying home since my Mom is due in town and may drop by. I just gave Liv a bath and she is contently napping on her playmat. I have New Orleans on my mind. Yesterday I called and the hotel is indeed sold out for that weekend. The reservations agent is supposed to email me if anyone cancels but that may be unlikely. I so could use a vacation but I'm not sure New Orleans is the best place for Olivia. Our friends will want to spend their time in the bars and I would rather hang out in the cemetary *and meet a real witch doctor*. Keith & Tina know some people who could babysit for us but I'm not so keen on leaving her with strangers. I would much rather take her to San Francisco for her first flight. We are familiar with the city, it's much more bebe friendly and there is a W there *#18*

*we stayed at the W in San Jose*.

Virgin America is having a sale for flights from LA to SF for $49 each way. It would be awesome to go for our anniversary but then we'd miss our annual Duke's Malibu dinner

Last year they changed the surf n' turf to Polynesian steak. I am hoping this year it's back to the original. We plan on taking Liv *hoping she'll sleep the entire time*

Mmmmm Good!

Wow, dinner tonight was terrific! I looked up a receipe for blue cheese burgers *a la Black Cow Cafe* and I seasoned and marinaded the meat. Antz came home and grilled to perfection and we had strawberry  margaritas with our fancy burgers and fries.

I am completely in love with the miniatures by this artist *Thomas Doyle*

So creative, so dark yet comical. I would love to buy some of his pieces but I'm sure they cost thousands. At least I can drool over his website. Antz is drawing at the moment for some freelance so we may go to New Orleans afterall.

Happy August & Happy Birthday Olivia!!

That's right, my favorite month is here and Olivia is now 2 months old!! So exciting

Keith & Tina's pool party was fabulous *despite the chilly weather* We went to Aimee's first to pick up my BabyHawk and give Aimee her router *she was so happy* then we arrived in Westchester at 3:30. We thought we were late but we were the first to arrive. Soon after Story & Chris showed up. Keith & Tina's kitchen remodel looks incredible *as expected* I forgot to take pictures but we will be going over there again on Labor Day weekend
Olivia was fantastic in the water!! She really enjoyed it. I can't wait to take her swimming again.

Keith & Tina have a vacation condo in New Orleans and they invited us to come out there for Halloween. I really want to go. I've been wanting to visit New Orleans for a year now *they have 2 W hotels!* Problem is, the airfare is really expensive and it seems the W in the French Quarter is booked Halloween weekend. I can still call the hotel and see if any rooms are available. Look how pretty!
